Battlefield 2 won't failed to install

I have been working on this all night. I already deleted all registry keys, all bf2 related folders. I tried installing manually, I used CCleaner to delete unused junk. I even used a different harddrive to install, both of my harddrives don't install it. I cleaned it really really well, but I think their just might be a problem with the disk. Btw I had it installed already, I need to reinstall because I was having patching and crashing problems. Please help, I already read up on the other topics and i'm really tired! Thanks.

We need more info. System specs? any error messages? When does it fail? Anything in event veiwer? etc...

My specs are above minimum requirements, like I said before I was running the game smoothly before. The error message is in the topic title, it occurs when I am installing the game, about 15-18% into the installation. Sorry if I sound a little ****ed but I am really frustrated, I just want to get this thing worked out so I can rest.

BTW I know it's not the disks, because I used different disks already and the same error came up. I deleted everything bf2 related using every possible program I can find, also through the registry. I think i've finally encountered a problem with no possible resolution besides buying maybe a new computer. I even tried a different hard drive.

I just posted in another thread on this same topic suggesting a scratched CD but I guess that isn't it. Like I said there, I get the same error trying to install now. Maybe it's a bad Windows Update that screwed it up? I doubt its hardware since many people are getting this error and it has happened in a seemingly random fashion.

you tried different disks, but did you try a different cd rom or dvd rom? there could be a problem with the hardware preventing it from installing.

id try having a friend make some iso images of your disks and using a jumpdrive or an external hd to put them back on your system. Use like daemon tools or something to mount the images and trying to install from there.
