I don't believe it's possible to back it up, but again, I don't own it either.

You have to backup the directory with your EA account name on it. For instance "C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\EA Downloader\cache\EA_Accountname"

You can then install from those files, or just reinstall the EAD and login to it, this will recreate your directory structure. Now logout and copy your files back over and restart the EAD.

EF requires at least patch 1.21 to be installed before you can install it, so use this order:

        1. Install BF2
        2. Special Forces
        3. Install the full 1.3 patch
        4. Euro Forces
        5. Reinstall the full 1.3 patch

Yep i found it before you posted but thanks anyway guys.....C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\EA Downloader\cache\EA_Accountname"

          Almost correct.
EF requires at least patch 1.21 to be installed before you can install it, so use this order:

EF requires Patch 1.2 or higher

which is what i did i installed
          BF2
          Special forces
          patch 1.2
          EF
          then the full 1.3 patch

seems alot more stable today :)

played for 4 hrs tonight with only 1-3 CTD (ok 1-3 crashes isnt great but i can live with it till they release a new hotfix lol)

          thanks again guys.
