confused with unlock

hey guys, new to the forums. i just got my promotion to serg. and i got an unlock available. so i decided to install bf2:SF, so i can unlock the sniper's gun. but when i log in and it says i have a new unlock available and i scroll through the menu, none of the SF weapons are there. any ideas?

SF unlocks are Tier 2 unlocks, you need Tier 1 before you can get them. So if youd like the SF Sniper unlock the M95 first

tier 2 unlock? not sure what that is, i already unlocked the original sniper unlock. when i log in and it shows me the available unlocks, they arent the SF unlocks, just the remaining bf2 unlocks i havent unlocked yet

HAve you played SF on that account yet? You need to play a round so it will recognise that account has SF.

Make sure the server is ranked... (not a multiplayer unranked server, I mean)

Have you figured it out yet? If not, here is how to get the new sniper rifle:

1) Use one of your unlocks to unlock the M95 (if you have not already)

2) Play a round or two in SF, completing the round each time.

3) Log out of SF to desk-top

4) Re-enter SF, and you should now have another unlock waiting for you. Use this to unlock the new sniper rifle.

I have a feeling you will ask this too, so I will answer it now. You can't use SF unlocks in SF, so don't ask why don't have your new sniper unlock while playing SF.

I'll admit I still get pretty cheesed when I want my guns and i can't use em!:shoot: :ar15: :cussing: :wall:

same here bro.
thats one change they should of made in the patch,
to allow all unlocked weapons to used in any bf2 series.

You must unlock the first level of a gun before unlocking the 2 level of upgrades.
