Considering that the vast majority of people who participated in the boycott were server owners, clan members who boycotted because there servers were part of the boycott and a lot of the mod community, its highly unlikely that anyone's game play changed over the weekend.

I participated. Well, actually it was a very nice day and since it was a Saturday and I had the day off, I decided to spend my day on the lake, then grill some steaks when I got home.

Sure Battlefield 2 is a fun game (when it works), but in the end, life is so much better. People really need to try to find one. Until then... happy fragging. Or complaining? Whichever.

So, essentially what you mean is that because "its highly unlikely that anyone's game play changed over the weekend", the vast majority of EA's customers are happy with their entertainment, and in reality the server owners, mod community and clans who participated are insignificant? Probably renderering the whole protest moot?

What? no I'm saying anyone who said that there were no n00bs online over the weekend were lying because most of the people who participated in the boycott were respected people of the community i.e. server owners the modding community and a number of clans and other communitys.

Yes, but the "community" you speak of, is a tiny proportion of the player-consumer base who has little or no respect for the "respected members" of said community, so in reality, any boycott will not affect the game play of most players, or damage EA in in any significant way (mainly because they already have your money.. )?

Lets break it down. about 400 server owners participated in the boycott by passwording there servers. A numbers of clans participated in the boycott because there servers were passworded (there servers, very few clans play on public servers), a lot of the mod community participated in the boycott most of which don't play BF2 any more anyway, and a few communitys participated in the boycott.

that leaves a few randoms who participated in the boycott and a few clan members who didn't participate in the boycott and were playing in public servers.

I didn't have any elitist liieutenant shooting me in the back because he felt he can fly the plane better than me. Nor did I get a MEC chopper who thought their only misison is to rape the Sharqi TV station.

Noobs as they may be, the people actually played bf2 normally like it was to be played on Sat. Thanks for pointing out glaringly that you guys are the problem, not the solution.

I can't wait for the next boycott day.

It made no impact at all. 400 servers being password protected, they were un-ranked correct, if not they stand a chance of being de-ranked, bothered very many people. Most people that played on those server probably went to find another server.

Not ALL gaming groups, or 'clans' sat the day out, because 90% of the clans don't care enough about the situation, or are smart enough to know, that having a boycott day wouldn't do anything or change anything.

Want to make a real statement? Take down your fan site, or community site if you no longer like the game. Don't play anymore at all if you don't like the game. Don't buy any more Dice products.

All the servers were ranked, when you password them they become unranked while passworded and no one can join with out the password.

btw, I don't play vBF2 anymore, I pay PRMM now which actually I've had less problems with than vBF2.

BF2 has to be the worst made game of earth, heck I can get Elite: Frontier to work better on XP and its over 10 years old.

I'm sure I can't be the ONLY person who has not had ANY problems with BF2. Just because a small amount of people have a problem, doesn't make it the worst ever, blah, blah, blah.
