    Re: Battlefield Boycott Day

Good luck on the boycott, its a great idea but never works...

Best thing anyone could do (who enjoys playing BF2), do not buy 2142. Simple as that!

EA will drop support on Battlefield 2 like a rock once 2142 comes out.

On boycott day don't play and send ea a nasty email explaining your thoughts on the support they give to flood their mailbox

I'd probably play if I could. Else I wouldn't have any complaints / reason to boycott em. I won't be buying BF2142, doesn't do it for me. Completely fictional futuristic military. I like the realitively realistic feel of Battlefield 2 and how relevant it is to our world today. Tactics, vechicles, weapons etc are at our age and I find that the fun. Screw BF2142, hope some people stick around to play BF2 after it's release.. if I get it working again that is..

With the boycot all your doing is screwing the server owners who are paying for the server to be up while no one in on them.
I agree. EA has two upcoming products that the community should take the oppurtunity in boycotting. Battlefield 2142 and Armored Fury are the ones we should be after if this idea should fail.

I'll join in I'll give it a try since I really don't like this new patch.. And EA doesn't listen to the people who buy their "refined" products..

Even if people think it wont work, its only 1 day so why not at least allow it the chance to work in the first place.

People intentionally playing on this day are simply doing it to spite those that are trying to achieve something here, rather than becasue they actually want to play BF2 on that day. Come on, its only one day ffs, and it might just give EA pause for thought.

                              Re: Battlefield Boycott Day

I blame it on the whiners that give the duff patches, yes EA create them but the community (whiners) request them.

I play BF2 less and less not because of the patch but because of the smacktards, sometimes I think that people are p1ssed at EA and want to take it out on other people playing the game by doing senseless teamkills etc, to push people away from the game, alough if someone tk's me for a vehicle I will make sure their gaming experience is destroyed for that round or 2, not only is tking for a vehicle ignorant but its pointless.

Boycotting EA, I doubt it will do much, I mean it might give them a hint that they are doing something wrong, if it was me and I made the decisions I would revearse the process and release a patch the same as 1.12, bunnyhopping, dolphing diving, doesn't bother me as such.

Im surprised its just the patch that pushed you away, I mean everytime I went in a server on Wake (its like my favourite map) and if im on the USMC, J10's rape the carrier, if im on the PLA, they rape the airfield. I have seen it all, my whole team get raped by one tank whore on Karkand, my whole team get raped by one J10 on Wake, my whole team get raped by one MI-28 on Sharqi. Really what annoys you more being raped constantly by some smacktard tking you for vehicles or EA's patches? I'd say the smacktards tking you for vehicles then they whore up the map every round not giving a fu*k about their teammates, im tired of that crap and its happened every round I have played for the last 2 weeks, my tk's have gone up considerably, my suicides have gone up (from someone throwing a buggy infront of my jet so I crash into it giving me a ''no more''). Sometimes I wonder if its better to follow the smacktards rather than oppose them.

                                Re: Battlefield Boycott Day

For all the effect it will have, I am joining the boycott. We can only try to get the message through to EA. If you don't even do this, you are a pessimist, "why bother, it won't work", that's an awful attitude to have in life.

Yes, it will hit them harder if you don't buy EA products ever again. But lets be realistic, by the time they've finished brainwashing the community with advertising, they'll still sell many copies of Armored Fury. The hype machine will go into overdrive for 2142 nearer the time aswell, when BF2 will be long forgotton by the dev's, and we're left ****ing into the wind.
