is it correct that if you turn your game settings to low [graphics etc] it will enable you to get into servers [load] more quickly?

Given that the "Verifying content..." check is the load time killer, I don't see how one's graphics settings would affect anything in this regard.

Wouldn't it be slower... as at the higher graphics settings there's less compression of textures and the lot?

First time round it would still have to adjust / "Optimize" your settings. But after that point I haven't noticed a change in Load times

I noticed that when i bought a new graphics card that (obviously after the optimization cr@p) it loaded much faster and i was always one of the first in the server. But after changing all the settings to the highest level it loads a bit slower. So yes lowering the settings should make it load faster (by how much i am unsure). But come on...................this game should be run on the highest settings you can manage because it just soooo damn pretty!

doesnt it use smaller textures..thus load faster..plus ive noticed that it is slightly faster with lower settings
