BF2 1.3 - How do you play Co-Op then??

Hi,

Me and a few mates have been waiting for ages for the new Co-op patch 1.3

I was expecting a button you would press saying Co-op and then we all entered the same server IP, as well as single and multi player buttons but no, nothing so simple.

So, how do you do this via the net??

It's not that simple, you have to look for Servers that have Co-op in theire description. But there are a few already though. If you seek one and cant find one PM me or better contact me in MSN our Unranked Clanserver runs Co-op atm.

go to multiplayer/create local/ change the drop down menu from conquest to coop/select maps

wootoow - makes playing singleplayer obsolite [spelling] don't you think? I mean, why play 16 player when you can play 32 a side??

So, how do I get my mate to join in??

I can't find any servers. The server browser is fcucked.

www.game-moniter.com go there search for uk or whatever Coop servers then copy and paste IP i did it last night with a mate as so fun, the bots are pretty good in jets :)

also, co-op arent ranked. when i try to host a local, i can only select singleplayer, and i cna only select custom maps then. can you do co-op in a singleplayer?

Yes you can do coop as single player. set the bot slider for "max number of players" to 1 to play by yourself.


edit* if you're only getting the conquest and single player option and not the coop in the drop down box, then you will need to uninstall bf2 and reinstall and then patch using the 1.3 full and not the incremental.

Your friend will join you by connect to ip.
Also FYI- the bot ratio slider is 0 for all bots on usmc, 50 for even, 100 for all bots on mec.

If you do it that way, then you get the awaiting other players to join text through the middle of the screen.

I thought a better way of doing it was to add Co-op to the singleplayer game and you play against bots with your mates. EA didn't see it this way though.

If you set the max number of players slider to 1, it will not have that waiting for players message. Thats exactly what the coops is. Have your mate join you through connect to ip and then you guys slay bots. Only set it to 1 when you want to play by yourself against bots.

You can't play 32 or 64 player maps in coop as far as I can tell. I only get the option to play 16 player maps.

Hello darwinsgate, yep, ive realised that mate. still, a step in the right direction me thinks. Co-op mode is essential and should of been there in the 1st place IMO

Co-op is always fun, but they should have changed the single player option to at least have a bot number slider instead of making folk create a local server and what not. Good that they finally got round to adding it.
