    Your wife/girlfriends view on BF2

    Just curious.

    As for me:

Me and my gf have been going out for about 6 months now (though I went to kindigarten with her). It's getting to the point where I had to reveal that I'm addicted to video games.

I wasn't surprised when she said "yeah your a boy of course you are". I also wasn't surprised to learn she didn't play any video games (except for pac-man and mario kart - 2 girl fav's).

But last weekend I told her I was having a friend over and we were gonna play some BF2, although I really wanted to see her. She said "You boys play your video games, I'll just channel surf and laugh at you when you die" (i have a TV in the computer room).

Sure enough she came down, and even though I felt bad ignoring her for the front lines, she didn't seem to mind at all. In fact, she spent more time watchin us play than the lame shows that were on that night.

So she's not a fan of games, but she doesn't mind.

    So here's to her:

(i look kinda young in this pic)

Post a pic of the 2 of ya since we're a community (no matter how much we hate each other)

You are lucky having a significant other that understands. I wish I could say that about my wife.

Even the whole "why don't you watch tv, or read, or even watch me play" thing sucks. The fact is, you are being a jerk any time you play. The solution is to only play when YOU are the one who has been left alone. Never make up an excuse to pick video games over your S.O., just play games any time your S.O. picks something over you.

well with my gf I usually have days on the weekend where I'm say "I can't hang out, a few guys are comin over and playing BF2"

Which, realistically, is like saying "it's poker night honey".

So I never pick video games over her, it's just that I make time to have some freinds over since I have 3 copies of BF2 on 3 computers. So I say "You can come hang out and play if you want to, but I have plans tonight". So she comes over and hangs out and watches all die.

She comes over all the f'in time now, and sometimes she comes over while i'm cleaning the house or working (i work from home a lot) and she pretty much entertains herself, which is the case with Bf2 as well.

Things will probably change if she talks me into letting her move into my house. I've never NOT lived alone - scary!

I got her to try to drive a DPV and she enjoyed herself. Perhaps soon I can get her online. Her screename will probably be "pwner_of_troybob_in_rl"

She mostly hates videogames. She would rather go to the movies, dancing, dinner, shopping, etc. She plays Tekken 4 and can whoop some serious ass though, she has also played CSS, which she sux0rz at...

After 6 months being in a real emotional/physical relationship..you still dont know her...trust me.

women are strange animals..the longer your with them the more your find who they are..the more theyll change become more evil and minipulative.

As time goes by and she knows she has her claws in you shell care less about making you happy and shell know more and more your under her control..

                  run run run now!!!

..this message was smuggled out of a place filled with years of nagging and kids..please destroy the evidence, if found all chances of getting booty theis week or buying any new games will be voided for extended period of time..

Got to give you that one. 6 months in / living apart / multiple computers for boys night -- you can legitimately call a 'poker night' and play some BF2 with your boys.

i feel bad killin women in bf2. i let one live one time when i was a sniper - just let her run pass.

maybe a good strategy for male players to take on womens names.

Most of the time though - I don't check names when I shoot at enemies until after they're dead.

I like to compensate with my GF, Ill admit though I have been playing less lately but if I ever get the urge to get online, what I do is make her dinner (im a pretty good cook), then run her a nice relaxing bubble bath (she'll spend an hour in there) which gives me time to play online (and gets me some later as well)
NEVER repeat NEVER choose a game over something with your spouse!
