co-op not working

i have to computers one works and the other doesnt

on one of them when i got to make a local server it wont let me start a co-op one. in the drop down box where it should say "canquest and co-op"

it says single player right where the co-op should be. i reinstalled the incremental patch a couple times then erased all patches and downloaded 1.3 full and installed that and re-installed it like 4 toimes and it still wont work. the version number right on the menu. its the same as on my other computer that works. i just cant creat and join co-op servers for some reason any help would be extremely helpfull

How did you erase the patches? You must uninstall bf2, reinstall and use the full 1.3 patch. It seems most people are having that problem with the incremental.

i've done that i complety re-installed the game with 1.3 full patch after the incremental didnt work and the results were the same

Try removing any custom maps from your Levels folder. It's an issue some users are experiencing.

Co-op only works for the 16 player size maps

Coop is not reserved just for the 16 player maps. There have been numerous posts on how to get 32 and 64 player size maps into coop.

By default it is only for 16 player maps. The method of playing coop on the larger maps doesn't have the aipathfinding setup for the bots, so whilst it may be possible they are not made for coop without the proper aipathfinding.

You are correct about the default maps being 16 players, but the larger maps are available for download With functional AI. I wont argue with you about this, I'm sure FFolkes will see this thread and he can elaborate better than I.

Hang tight guys there will be some updates later this week in regards to getting the larger maps to work in Co-op.

The navmeshes have been done and there is Single-Player support. However, there are some bugs in the Co-op larger maps we are working through.
