Ok, played 1.3 for the first time last night. Twice a jeep was dropped on the rooftop next to me as I played sniper. Useless.
At least I got to have a Thelma and Louise moment...

Not so useless as you think. If your sniping from a location that the enemy cant get you, they drop a vehicle so they can shoot that and the splash damage will get you. -
