We were hacked. Several times over the past two weeks, in fact.
While all passwords are encrypted and salted, it's recommended that you change your password here when you can.
In the stats the guns are categorized by assault/carbine/ light machine gun etc etc. Does anyone know which guns come under which categories? I'm not a big gun buff, I just play BF2, but I'd like to know which areas I need to improve with.
Usually submachine guns use 9mm pistol rounds, and that's why they don't have a very strong punch, but they have higher rate of fire. (MP5, MP7, PP-19, P90 etc.)
If it's a full size rifle and uses either 5.56mm or 7.62mm round, it will be classified as assault rifle(AK's, M16, G3, F2000, G36E etc.)
The short version of the above rifles used by the SpecOps is carbine (M4, G36C, SCAR-L etc.)
Light Machine gun is not necessarily belt fed since there are LMG's with magazines or drums, but usually has a longer barrel which helps the round achieve longer range and stronger punch, due to the higher speed of the round. Usually same caliber as the assault rifles/carbines which is 5.56mm, or 7.62mm.
Heavy machine gun - anything with .50 caliber (12.7mm whichever way you prefer). Strong punch that can pierce even light armor.
And BTW, nowdays it's easy to find the info about anything on the internet, but I've been a weaponry/military encyclopedia good 10-15 years before the internet came out, since I was a kid. I hope my quick info will help you a little bit.
