Patches wont install!!!!!!!!!!

ok this is getting me so annoyed.

i recently bought bf2... amazing, did some games put then i found 6000 servers on xfire...i found out that ea did updates so i got help an dowloaded the 438mb 1.3 one.

i keep getting to 8% on overall and 39% on mods\bf2\Objects_client.z ip

and.... SPLAT! it will either close it self totally or sometimes give me the 'patching faled' message.

now this screws bf2 up totaly now and says some files are missing.

i uninstalled bf2, checked it worked still..it did an tried the 1.3 patch again...and again...and again!!! same result

i went to the big 1.22 patch after 1.3 didn't work, it got to 9% and about 85% on mods\bf2\Objects_client.z ip

before it did the exact same thing!!!!!!!!!!!! i didn't bother contacting EA as i would get no answer because their customer support is trash

any good people willing to help my problem?

also this patching eats my hard drive memory =[

Make sure you completely delete all files and folders after un install "I put the link to the support page below", re download the patch from another source. Re install and see if that helps. It sounds like a corrupt download/patch to me.

You say above that when installing you have missing files, This sounds like the downloaded patch got corrupt some how. If BF2 has missing or corrupt files i recommend you completely uninstall and reinstall the game to make sure you have a clean BF2, then install the full patch again. Also kill backround stuff to make sure its not interfering with the install in any way. ASE, virus scans etc.

outa interest, witch patch is the best one to get? i heard alot bad talk about 1.3 and such....

You must get the 1.3 patch. Use the big one called 1.3 full.

I always install the Full patches, I have had nothing but problems with the incrememtal's. I would recommend the Full 1.3 right now

SF=Special Forces - An expansion pack one must purchase. If you didn't buy it you won't have to worry about it at all.

Its only a game be calm, Just follow the links above and do a clean install, then install the full patch and enjoy.

You might as well to a clean install now. Be sure to clean your regestry with RegCleaner (free download).
