PIMP My BF2 settings

Hello,

Could someone pimp me the optimal fps/good looking settings for me? Right now I run these settings, and get 25-50 fps:

1152x800 (can't remember, something like that) Texture high, dynamic shadows and lightning on Low and everything else on Medium. No AA.

PC Specs:

Amd Athlon XP 3200+
Nforce 2 NF7 (5.10 drivers)
2x 512mb Kingston 400mhz
Radeon X800XL 256Mb (Omega drivers, based on 6.5 catalyst)
120gb maxtor 8mb

And another question: Why doesn't it optimize those shaders if I change my video settings? How can I get the best possible fps, and it still looks good?

Well that pc graphics card is better than mine (X700Pro) but i seem to get resonable framerates with medeium settings
The only thing i set in game is the resoultion i use Catylist Control Centre For the other settings
Btw try experimenting i found the optimum settings for my card that way

put all on medium, apart from shadows & lighting either low or off.

It feels, that my fps drops if I change my video settings more than once after formatting my pc. How come is it possible? I delete the cache everytime I change the settings. It wont optimize the shaders if I won't.

everytime u change ur BF2 settings cache is creted in the following directory..
C:\Documents and Settings\YOUR NAME\My Documents\Battlefield 2\mods\bf2\cache

Delete everythinig in this folder & run BF2 again, u shud see an improvement.
