My Problem is solved for V1.3 patch Crash to Desktop.

Hi all,
Previously, i have installed the Patch !.3 by incremented from V1.22. After the Map was loaded and pressed start, the game was crashed to Desktop.

No need to re-install the game and patch, i only done that below.

I removed the display card driver firstly in control pannel and then re-boot the windowXP again. The display card driver automatically re-installed. Fortunately, the game started normaly and i am enjoying those new features

My display card is radeon 9600 pro.

I am not sure whether the method can work to all, but you can try.

It crashes completely random for me.

PBAsdney, Do you have removed the all USER application in windows task manager (except EXPLORER.exe and taskmgr.exe) before starting the BF2?

Everything, even explorer.

It sometimes crashes when pressing join, sometimes not.

I think it may be not worked for you.
In my case ,before I reinstall the driver, every times is crashed. But now every time is OK.
I dont know why, so wonderful patch...
