Lost Confidence in Battlefield: New Game Ideas?

Got a lot of time/effort inot this game and, with the latest patch, I started the quest for another game to play. I got most of the badges and all of the unlocks and, contrary to others strong beliefs, I like the change to the squad system. However, without any incentive to be a squad leader (and get little/no points while trying to stay alive), I'm looking for another online game to play.

I'd like a game with a similar teamplay aspect and have looked at Quake Wars: Enemy Territory but it won't be out for a while.

Any game suggestions? (not into fantasy stuff - wizards, elves, etc.)

Quake Wars, UT2007, and Crysis will be out this fall.

but hm...i would recommend 21st century warfare if ur still in the bf2 mood..its semi-realistic army warfare

Try Act of War.. it's gritty, believable, and quite fun to play a map or two every couple of nights.. I really like it's story line.

Or, try an RPG, like Fable or maybe one of the KoTOR games, if you like star wars..

Or, learn an instrument, always good fun.

The latest patch was really half assed, im playing little to no BF2 at all, and haven't been playing really at all this week, all I get is browser problems, game crashes and connection errors.

I had to reinstall for 1.3 but haven't had many problems after that besides some connection errors which are really annoying. I can't get in game now and I'm not reinstalling. I think game companies have waited long enough for the BF2 popularity to die down. Release something new and addictive, now.

Brothers in Arms Hells Highway for next gen consols looks like a good Squad based FPS game with good multiplayer aswell.
