I was just curious about how the servers make money from BF2. I realize some pay for slots, but this still seems like a small amount of money. Most players, like myself, buy the game and then play for free. Thanks.

Simple really, they dont make ANY money. If you mean the server providers then obviously they get wotever they get paid by the renters/owners, but the people who own/rent them make no money.

We have a dedicated 128 slot box (currently a 64, 40 city map and 24 Karkand 24/7) but those slots can be divided up as we wish. That costs well over £2.5k a year, all that money is donated by our members.

This is what alot of people forget, we provide 128 slots and more than 2/3 of those slots are filled by public players at any one time. Hence why we liike to treat rule breakers harsly, they do nothing but take advantage of what we pay for. Many seem to thing it is their RIGHT to play on our servers, when in fact it is their priveledge, and they are nothing more than temporary guests.
