I don't understand, how majority of you all here (totalbf2.com) can actualy not complain about the gameplay of Battlefield 2!

With just over 18 pages of dislikes about the newest patch! Yet, I come here... and everyone loves it... I don't understand...

Oh well, I just want to know how you all enjoy the patch's so much, even though they don't really fix anything!

It's because that thread wouldn't be allowed here if it had the slightest bit of negativity toward EA. Which is what that thread is about.

I think it is the best thread i have ever seen on that forum.

What I love even more, almost 90% of the BF2 community over at EA's offical forums have turned it into a EA hate forum lol

We don't all love the patches, most of us just don't have the time or the motivation to whine about how bad a patch is. What's that going to fix? It's necessary to post about bugs and other issues so they'll be fixed, but no one needs or wants to see threads like "OMG this patch is t3h suckz0r!!!111!!one!"

If you actualy read majority of those posts in that thread... it shows you bugs and such. Yes, it's a complaint, and complaining does nothing... obviously... but even on those forums, there's countless amounts of bugs that they need to fix.

I actually only read the forums here and the EA UK BF2 forum, i think theyre both different but equally good, and i have a hell of a lot of respect for the moderators there( no offense to moderators here but for an official EA forum, they arent NAZI thread nukers for EA haters ), i think the US one is complete junk

I don't think everyone loves it at all. There is 2 ways of looking at this.
1.) The server owners
2.) The pub all-stars

As a server owner you provide the community in general a place to play. Most of the time you end up having a group of regulars that stick with you because they like the way you run the servers or the map rotation, etc. etc.
From this you also have the clan servers which about 75% of the community plays on. Most clans have a competitive side where they clan in the various ladders and tournaments help by CAL or TWl, etc. etc.
After a history of so-so patches and constant trimming of the game, it is frustrating because you never really know what to expect when a new patch comes out. In the past the patches that have ben released have contained:

Memory leaks
Increased client instability
Increased server instability
CTD
defective vehicle collision meshes,
Account servers log in errors
Red tag bugs
Getting stuck in a squad
AA missiles following oil towers
Erradic ping
Problems with lighting and shaders
Problems related to being commander
Spawn point probelms (Zatar)
Countless others.

As a server owner it's frustrating because you dont get a discount because someone doesn't know how to code. I cannot really explain it further unless you own a server and see for yourself.

The pub all-star on the other hand has no idea what is really going on behind the scenes. All these people seem to care about it their precious imaginary medals that are even more meaningless now (post 1.3). For the most part they do not contribute financially to any server or community. Anything that hinders their imaginary advancement up the ranks is viewed as an exploit by them (jumping/shooting). So they are quick to complain and for some reason that lacks all logic and reason someone listens and changes the game.
