Does anyone else think there should be one or more maps like in bf42 where one of the spawn points was a para drop? I would think a simple patch (oximoron i know) could do this...

Hmm that would be pretty cool. IK I do a lot of huge helo drops behind enemy lines and accomplish a lot by doing so. (especially on wake :evil: )

Two things...there is already a map in BF2:SF that has a spawn in mid-air. And second is we're unlikely to get a new map in any future patch, especially with BF2142 coming.

i remember liberation of caen in 42 where when the allies captured the bridge your para drop area was enable, this made for some great fights as the german tried to obliterate the para droppers oh the fun of it...

really? i was so dissapointed with sf after playing a couple maps and realizing i paid another 30 buck for what i origianly paid 50 buck for in the beginning and felt like i had been flim flammed i quit playing it, so since i own it what map are you refering to in sf i musta missed that one...i would like to check it out...

Its on Warlord, the SAS spawn point farthest to the South, the uncap.

Also, I believe that one of the smaller versions of Great Wall (Euro Force booster) has you parachute in.

there was a very cool invasion map in bf1942 road to rome expansion, its where i think the britains invaded italy and germans, there was a destroyer to spawn on with landing craft, a para drop point, and a very cool beach with cliffs. awesome map, does anyone remember what it was called?

BF2 will not get any new maps that have that, and EA is unwilling to mess around with the maps we have now.

Instead of Vehicle drops we should have had SquadLeader drops. Something like a tactical drop now and again in the game.

I remember a map on BF1942 that had a big bomber, two fighters on each side, a bridge and city terrain between the US Airstrip and the River.... and you could cross at 2 spots, a big metal bridge and a smaller stone bridge... wow...

Yeah, it's called Warlord. Also, there's a para drop on 16 and maybe 32 player Euro Forces: Great Wall map
