bf2 running better than ever.

installed the new patch. no browser lag anymore, gameplay is smooth as always. im getting lots more servers w/ less than 100 ping. new squad format, no biggy, love the car droping, havn\'t played w/ a 2 year old comander yet. props to ea/dice.:) only negitive, it takes a little longer to connect to account server. not ther server im joing to play a game.

The browser is worse for me, it doesn't display whos in the server and if I refresh my favourites they get deleted .

I seemed to have escaped the big probs of 1.3. It runs well, no CTD (touch wood)....so i dunno. i just used the incremental patch with all other apps closed down. For probs with so many other users it must be a tempremental thing
PS the browser is poo....always was but is now worse....i try to use favs instead

I dont get this browser problem people refer to, 2 of my clan mates do however and have had nothing but problems since patching.

So far in all honesty I have had only 1 CTD so im pleased.

I'm not at home right now, so I can't verify, but I think they added a tab on the screen that lets you see the information about who's in the server. It's on top of the lower panel of information (which would place it in the middle of the screen).

Hotfix really needed for the server browser. Pure craziness.

When I'm in-game I can't find the server IP address anymore, so I can't tell my buddies where to join. Can't find the server name either, but that's the way it's always been.

I get quite a bit more CTD's. I used to get at least one per 3-4 hour session, now I get about 3 per session. Lags a bit at times now. Frustrating. I think I'll uninstall and load the full patch and see if that helps. Fun fun fun.

Haven't seen the red-tag bug yet, but I hear it's still out there.
Haven't had any of my AT missiles fly through enemy vehicles yet, but I've heard that this problem still hasn't gone away.

Don't care much for the dropping of the vehicles. Nice, but not a huge bonus.
As a commander, I simply REFUSE to "cartillery" someone. I only drop cars when squad commanders ask for one or if I see a squad member stranded somewhere. I don't do lone wolfs any favors.

The squad-hopping change is good, overall. It was clearly an exploit. They should have done this from day one, so everyone would be used to it by now. It just makes sense.

Reduction in difficulty for certain badges / ribbons / medals were good changes , especially the war college ribbon.

Overall, the patch is a disappointment, at least from the incremental patch perspective. Maybe the full patch will make my gameplaying at least back to what it was.

i only got some servers ,not showing no names when its f.ex. 56/64 , but this problem have been there from day 1, when i got this game.. It doesnt bother me that much.. only have like 2-4 regular servers that i only play so...

I did a fresh install for 1.3 and I've had no problems at all. Gameplay is more smooth, fps a bit better, and yes, the server browser works as always. The only con is that I have to customize my localization files again since they changed in 1.3.

The browser is totally f'ed up now. EA knows about it and is going to do something.

After a thorough investigation into the issues plaguing the server browser after the 1.3 Update, we believe that a last minute update in the way the Battlefield servers and Gamespy servers communicate may be the cause.

We have decided to revert this change in an attempt eliminate these browser issues. Please note that no uninstalling or re-installing is required by players or server admins. All servers currently running must be restarted once this change has taken place.

The browser isn't perfect, other than that I don't have any problems. Maybe you people need to invest in your machines and get worthy hardware ?
