Teamswitching and squads

Anyone else get locked out of joining squads in the middle of a game. I have been locked out entirely twice now when I was teamswitched by the admin. It is not just for one death, it is for the entire round. Anyone found a workaround for this?

I think the new patch makes it impossible to join or leave a squad when you're dead. You have to be alive to do either of these now.

Sorry... No, I can't think of a workaround. I've been locked out of joining squads on my first spawn, but not suffered what you're describing - it's not meant to work that way.

EDIT: @ Heous - you can leave a squad whilst dead, but you can't join one whilst dead. It's the anti-squad-hopping/cycling "fix".

Yeah, I had that happen three times yesterday on two diff servers. At no time alive or dead, could I join a squad. Strange.

At first I thought it was just that I was dead but it happens both when alive and dead. I was teamswitched and I could join a squad if invited. I could also not create a squad (on an virtually empty server). Oh well, cooperation is overrated anyway

Yeah, when playing yesterday, I saw a lot of, "Why are all the squads locked?" spam with others responding that they weren't.

I could be wrong, but it looks like once again while adding a new "feature," DICE introduced yet another bug.

Yes, you are right about being wrong. This bug has been around for a while. It did not emerge as a result of 1.3. Many times it would only affect one team at a time during a round.

Funny, though, that while playing the game for nearly year now I never heard this complaint before in-game, yet yesterday on every single server I played on this issue kept coming up. Go figure.

I have had this happen to me too many times. Sometimes for 2 rounds then i'll relog.

Most servers teamswitch people automatically to keep the teams balanced. I usually play on a server that swaps the entire teams every round so I see this bug all the time (not every switch but quite often).
