  • CD Key Question

I seem to have lost the paper that had the cd key printed on it. Now i still have BF2 installed on my computer, so its not a problem right now, but it may be in the future if i have to reinstall for whatever reason. Is there a program or tool that can retrieve my cd key, so i can write it down?

NO, there is no way to get it back. If you contact EA via the number listed on their support site they will get you a new key.

Not anymore. In 1.2 (IIRC) the encrypted the CD-key stored in the regestry.

i think ur best bet is to contact EA and get another one from them. from what i have read you used to be able to get it from ur registry but not any more.

If you have the game installed, just save a copy of the reg key, and import it for later use.... It's located in: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Electronic Arts\EA Games\Battlefield 2\ergc
To get there, hit start, run, type regedit.

                  Hope this helps.

I think i have to pay $10 and ship them one of my cd's if i want a new cd key. What a pain...

I think ill just buy a new copy if i ever need it.
