    Another 1.3 problem.

I just downloaded 1.3 from EA, and I only had 28KB/sec. I tried FileFront, and still 28.

Anyways, when I try to enter a server, my game crashes. The last time I asked for help on this forums, I didnt really get a great answer, but does anyone have an answer for this?

Might need some more specifics. Does it crash while loading or immediately when you click on a server in the in-game browser?

Regardless, the standard response is to reinstall everything and start again.

Sorry, once it is done connecting to account server, the screen goes black, then crashes.

Same here, but it just freezes up on "connecting to account server"

Have you tried deletting your profile in ..\My Documents\Battlefield 2\Profiles\ then go to BF2 logon screen and retrieve your login information.

This way you have your old profile, but with default BF2 settings.

Your problem sounds more like a firewall problem.

When you patched BF2, the bf2.exe changed and if you have a software firewall it will detect this, and ask you to verify the change is normal.

You might not see this question, so try running BF2 in a Window, and see if the firewall pop-up comes up. You do this by editing the shortcut you start BF2 from. Right-click on it and select properties and in the Target texbox edit fullscreen 1 to fullscreen 0. Then start up game.

Alternatively go into your software firewall config and change bf2.exe's allow to ask, and next time you start it set it to allow and remember the setting.

Are you in Vanilla BF2 or a mod like USI?

If you are in a mod, you might have to set your video settings to medium.
