    Ok is this true ?

I read somewhere that If you have refresh rate loewr than 75hz , it hurts ur eyes. It is recommanded to have a refresh rate over 80hz.

So if this is true, how do I get my BF2 refresh rate over 80hz ? The limit in the video settings is 75.

Some say you can force it in the Nvidia control panel, but I have a ATI Radeon 9600 256mb.

So... what do u think ?

75hz is quite painfull for the eyes, 85hz is far far better. i have mine set to 120hz btw :)

check you have the right monitor driver, if you cant find it, uncheck hidden modes and try a few higher up, it will reset back if its unsupported.

What you probably heard, is that a refresh rate of lower than 75Hz can cause eye strain. If you dont get eye strain, then dont worry. Mine is at 72Hz and im fine.

Its typically 60 Hz and below that causes problems. You can tell if a monitor has a poor refresh rate by looking away from it at about a 45 degree angle (i.e. using your motion-sensitive peripheral vision to look at it) - if you see flicker its refresh rate is too low. 75 is a good target.

                high refresh = less tearing

LCD is only supposed to refresh the pixels that change, so if you're watching a movie, only the pixels that the movie uses change, but the rest of the screen will not refresh (or so i'm told)

Does upping your refresh rate cause any loss in performance at all?

i have 20/20 vision but apperently my refresh rate for my brain is pretty slow

so i have mine on 60hz and it works fine for me.

upping your refresh rate only draws more power from the wall

Well I guess the only ones on Earth that can tell the difference between 75hz and 85hz is you, space monkeys and some species of polar bear embryos...

LOL, yea that ad is pretty annoying! So increasing the refresh doesn't have an impact on performance??

I can tell the difference if I hold a hand over one eye, stand on my left foot facing north, and recite the Declaration of Independence backwards while gargling rum and coke.

I always thought it was the high ones that hurt your eyes. Your eye is trying to adjust 120 times/second and it dries them out. But that's just what I figured.
