Arty Hack?

Ok, well ive never heard of an arty hack but last night I saw a commander using it if it does exist if not its a serious bug.

Every 10 seconds enemy artillery would rain down on the airfield at wake yes every 10 seconds I mean im spawning into arty fire after dying from arty the first time its ridiculous....

I mean wtf, Ive never heard of this before is this some hack or is it another 1.3 bug?

There's a hack that allows commander assets to reload extremely fast. There's also apparently a bug in 1.3 that lets arty reload instantly.

I have been a victim to this many times since the new patch. I am just glad that not all commanders are aware of it yet. Because when they are, it ruins the game.

But seriously, there are so many "features" in the game already which pretty much "ruin it," what's the big deal.

No, it wasn't a dream, I died from arty and then spawned back into enemy arty again, I mean 15 second reload time wtf...

There is a a few nasty hacks out there that can be had for a price. The commander hack is extreamley nasty as any one can use it not just the commander. It gives you 5 second reload on all assets. Couple that with the team hack and the person using it can use both commanders resources to hammer any thing he wants and he appears as a friendly to both teams.

The big point to remember if it is happening don't accuse the commander as it may not be him doing it.

I have sent the website of the cheat maker to EA and Punkbuster. Lets see what they do with it.

the commander hack shouldnt always be blamed on the commanders. i was commander once, and i kept hearing "supply drop granted" or soemthing of that nature and on my commadner screen, had the flashy supply drop icon around the map as if i had dropped them but i didnt, and i wasnt doing anything/i dont hack

I here you there, the reason I know about the hack is after the above mentioned arty ordeal I did some research on it and found the developers website. They are actually selling the hack online. Lets see if either EA or PB does anything about it.

Lol that reminds me of the old delta force days, there was a hack that let you jump right to the top of the map if you pressed space and a grenade launcher hack which let you basically spam grenades. So, your spawn got raped and novalogic didn't care, of course you could always go on an oil rig with your team and shotgun that hacker down

Sadly, punkbuster has no power over these hacks any longer. The new hacks have a system in place that checks for a punkbuster update every time the hacker logs in. If the hack detects an updated punkbuster, it simply streams a new hack that punkbuster cannot detect.

The only defense against these hackers is to screen shot them using punkbuster's getss command, but you need to be a server admin to do that. And even then, that admin has to go through the proper channels of submitting a ticket, and hoping a EA guy looks at it. And even then, if the hacker is caught, the worse case is that he gets GUID banned and stats reset. All he has to do is buy a new CD-KEY and he's back in action. It doesn't STOP the hacking. As a normal player, you really have no power to do anything about a hacker. Its sad but true. Unfortunately, BF2 is full of hackers. There's a good chance that in any given game, there's 1-2 people using hacks. Its that bad....

These hacks cost money, more than the cost of BF2 itself, and people DO pay. I was playing Karkand the other day, and saw this guy named [JDM]Alexar, and he was dropping dozens of supply boxes on himself, and knew exactly where players were at all time.
