    Quick Q Re: booster pack

    Need a little help here...

Ordered/registered for the European booster pack... downloaded the EA downloader... at launch of the application it informs me "My security settings prohibit running ActiveX controls on this page"... thusly making it impossible for me to download the booster.

I searched the FAQ over at EA regarding ActiveX error (Which is absolutely useless btw)... and saw and administered security settings changes per the FAQ item.

STILL unable to log in due to activeX error.

Can anyone give me advice on how I can get around this error or fix my issues at the very least?

    Thanks in advance.

Try setting the IE Internet Options tabs "Security" and "Advanced" to default levels. Then download firefox and use that for normal browsing and save IE for when you really have to use it.

Bump. I am having the EXACT same problem. I have tried reinstalling EA Downloader, I am running Internet Explorer 6 for SP2 and have firefox. I have tinkered around with everything.

I also already paid for the expansion, so until I get it fixed it is 10 bucks down the drain. Somone has to know how to fix it. Please respond.
