BF2 Wake Island problem

If have this problem with BF2.
Every time that want to start a single player game or a local server and a choose whatever map, it always automatically starts up Wake Island and then quits to windows. I have re-installed the original game now 2 times including all patches. What can this be and how can i solve this?
For the rest, playing BF2 in multiplayer does nog give me any problems. Its only when i start up a game myself that it automatically starts up WI and then crashes.

What OS are you using and listing your sytems specs might help a bit.

I have:

Windows XP SP2
AMD Athlon XP 2400+
Nvidia Nforce motherboard
1000 mb geheugen
Ati Radeon 9600

I don't know much 'bout AMD Athlon's or something so I don't know if the problem lies there..

I also don't think somone can analyze the problem out of simple system specs.. ? If it was so low he couldn't even play it.. right?

Firstly, I cant see any problem with your specs (and AMD is the best so don't worry about that ), I am clutching at straws but maybe it could be a problem with your firewall?
Or you could try re-installing again, but after you uninstall, run a search for anything to do with BF2 and delete that and then restart your pc before you re-install.

Thx i will try that,
Sorry about me giving simple specs.. I am just not that of a computer wizard to know where i can find all that specs and to show what is important. I just like gaming.. I will try it and let it know !
