    Co-op Question

If I start a co-op server will someone in a different state be able to join via un checking ranked and search for co-op instead of conquest ? Or is this feature just for LAN ?

Sorry if its a stupid question but I know for the past year this was not possible since they are charging for even unranked servers . BFV was not set up this way and you could play w/ a buddy anytime on any map you wanted . I really miss that .

yes it is considered multiplayer so if you have port 16567 open to your computer - he can join by ip

    don't know your ip?

you'll need more ports open for it to be search-able

I am sorry to be a retard but I dont understand what you are meaning by ports ?

I know in co-op I have the option to name the server before starting . Wouldnt someone be able to search for the name specifically by un chacking ranked and pb ? Also I should be able to get my ip address after I start the game hit tab left click and at the top left corner un check the tab and it should be there .

different internet apps use different ports. surfin the web uses port 80. ftp uses port 21.

BF2 uses 16567. If you want the internet to be able to access your server, ensure that there is no firewall blocking that port. also - if you're using NAT, you must us port forwarding so that your private computer uses your public IP on port 16567
