Yeah, we stupid Europeans always have to pay more for American stuff. The cheapest price for g15 here is 74€ (94,3$). Even Bf2 vanilla costs 50€ (63$): this game is 1 year old... :/ Nobody in the US would pay such a high price for a videogame.

Maybe I will buy a g15 because I tested it and it was really cool.

I've got a G-Key assigned to instantly spot and for some radio-messages but I don't want to stretch out my hand and maintain from duty whilst pressing the G-Key..

So my question was! Is there a program or w/e to assign a GKey to something like TAB when I press TAB it executes the GKEY?

AFAIK you cannot use the G keys for anything else (you cannot map them to anything in a game) nor can you use any other key to emulate a G key (you cannot create a G macro and assign it to a regular keyboard key).

That really annoys me since I feel like my pink will get retarded after pressing a GKey then It's too far away imo..

            Re: G15 BF2 LCD applet v0.4.7 FIXED for v1.3/AF

This G15 BF2 applet sounds nice. However, I don't think I can use it. I have a Logitech joystick and unless I launch BF2 from the Logitech game controller I lose all my joystick tweaks.

            Questions for the experts:

            1. Does anybody else have this problem? Is there a way to make the Logitech game controller work with this G15 BF2 tool?

            2. Does the BF2 1.3 patch workaround noted below actually fix the server browser performance regression?

Browsing for servers right now pretty much sucks big time

Why would the G15 BF2 applet mess with your game controller?

The game controller is actually called a "Profiler". It loads all of your joystick adjustments for each game you play. e.g. roll, pitch, yaw & throttle tweaks. It's a very nice tool. If you just spawn BF2 by itself these adjustments are not sourced in the game and you get the default joystick parameters.

                Here's some info on it:

A lot of people use these joysticks. Here's the one I have:

Discover the innovative world of Logitech United States and shop everything MX, Mechanical Keyboards, Wireless Mice, Webcams, Headsets, Software, and more

The profiler allows me to tweak my flight settings for BF2, DC, and several other games I have including flight sims.

I'll try using the G15 BF2 tool. Maybe there's a way to tweak the start-up script or the registry so I can redirect it to read my joystick settings.

I don't understand the problem you are having with the Logitech Joystick software and the G15 BF2 applet. I run the G15 Keyboard, Logitech Force Pro 3d Joystick, and this applet with no problems. The applet has nothing to do with your joystick and should not cause any sort of interferance.

As I recall the Profiler instructions state you must launch the game from the Profiler (e.g. from your task tray choose MB3->Launch Game->BF2). Otherwise, your custom joystick settings for each game profile you create are not picked up.

Did you create a custom profile for BF2? If not, then you are just using the out-of-the-box joystick controls and you won't notice any difference.

I'll bang on it later on and see if I can get it to work with this tool, then I'll post and update.

                    Regards,

So my G15 keyboard arrived yesterday, I installed BF2 G15 MOD Beta v0.4.7, and am eager to experience BF2 with this new keyboard.

Besides the sharp LCD screen and the information that can be seen on it, are there any other advantages you veteren G15 owners notice?

I'm new with the G15, so any tips would be appreciated.

Talus, that text file you made available for download that contained your design code, where do I make those changes for my profile. Yours looks sharp and I'd like to sample that display, or config it a bit once I understand the G15 and it's capabilities.

                      Thanks guys.

Simply create a text file called Design.txt and place it in a Design subfolder in your applet's install directory:
                        e.g. C:\Program Files\G15 Applets\BF2G15Mod\Designs\Design.txt

Okay I took your design.txt file that was posted on a previous page in this thread and placed it here. C:\Program Files\BF2G15Mod\Designs

But when I log into BF2, the LCD display happens to be the default one which was used when I installed the bf2 g15 mod.

Do you see what I am doing wrong here? There was no manual in the box for the keyboard, which in a sense creates a guessing game when you have little to no experience using macros and such.

                          Thanks.

Open op the G15 Keyboard Software (Usually Start -> All Programs -> Logitech ->G15 Keyboard Software -> Start Logitech Keyboard Software
(Names maybe wrong I translated it from Dutch to English.)

When your in it press the button next to help called settings.

                            Go to LCD-Configuration Screen.

Make sure that BF2 is checked after that press Ok.

I think it should work and make sure that the BF2G15MOD is loaded..

Hope it works. Notice that the names are not the same since I translated it from Dutch to English but I hope this worked..

Do you even have the BF2 applet loaded?

Download and install the app mentioned in my first post in this thread, and then place the design.txt in a 'design' subfolder where you installed it.
