He posted this in the G15 forums as well...he'll probably find the help he needs there. The authors of the applet are VERY good at posting back when people are having problems.

I'm assuming that doing a google for the missing .dll file and placing it in c:\windows\system32 would probably fix it.

            Re: G15 BF2 LCD applet v0.4.7 FIXED for v1.3/AF

Hope someone can help me, I absolutely love this app for the g15, however the BF2 LCD application always freezes up on me. It works in game perfectly for say 10-15 mins, then locks-ups and no longer updates scores/kills etc. and wont let me swap between the 4 BF2 LCD modes. (I can still select the clock, performance meter etc. which still work fine)

If I ctrl+alt+delete back to windows it shows that the program is not responding, it I 'end task' the program then restart it will work for another 10-15 mins, then freeze again. Any ideas?

FYI. I have the latest versions of both g15 drivers and the bf2 lcd applet.

I also get the occasional freeze, but lately it seems very slow or doesn't change the server name. I tried reinstalling it, but no change. This lastest version is the only one I had problems with. I'm still happy with it, I know they will be coming out with a new version when bf gets updated.I also notice the servers which I've been playing on have been crashing big time. Btw, I just play the 1.3, with no mods or beta.

When I start BF2, I have a batch file that I run that closes all of the other LCD applets I have running leaving ONLY the BF2 applet.

I have never had the BF2 applet freeze up or crash but maybe that's the reason.

You can also get it at CompUSA if you have one near you. I picked mine up for $70.

This applet does not cause me any problems It starts up automatically when I boot up my computer. It will show the BF2 icon and say No Server Selected until I connect to a game. The only other applets I have running are the LCD Clock and TeamSpeak.

Got a question for you guys who own the g15: is this keyboard really such a cool thing? Because I want to buy a g15 but 69.90 € (89.12949$) is very expensive..
                              Is it a big add-on when you're playing bf2??

                                Re: G15 BF2 LCD applet v0.4.7 FIXED for v1.3/AF

I needed a new keyboard so that's why I bought mine..plus I was ordering some other computer equipment and noticed that it was on sale for $60 (and that's CANADIAN).

For me, the LCD screen was worth the upgrade. But I love the feel of the keys and the backlit illumination. Also, there is a nice toggle switch to turn off the dreaded Windows key to prevent yourself from accidentally booting yourself out of a game.

I don't use the G keys in games, but I use them at the Windows desktop to launch my favourite games and applications.

When I play games, my left hand is on my Nostromo n52...by far the best gaming peripheral I've ever purchased (and I also own the original Nostromo n50)
