works for Arty only, kept our opponents arty out of commision for most of the map in our 8v8 last night, but they picked up on what was going on and returned the favor for mapsides 2 & 3 - still won though

i drop the car on the side of a wall, n let it fall upside down on the enemy... :) killed alot of peepes that way, especially in karkand...

Using the T key to call in car drops would require you to have direct LOS to the target. If you've got direct LOS, why not just shoot him?


I finally managed to play a couple rounds where the commander was more interested in using cardrops for support than landing 'em on the badguys. Wow! It really sped up the pace of the game a ton. It's great being able to get a ride no matter where you are or howmany tards have sped off in vehicles alone.

well lets also not forget that if I know a sniper is keeping my squad down - I'll call in a UAV, then zoom in on the map and ask for the vehicle right on top of the red dot that I'm sure is the sniper. Worked twice last night.

though i see your point - I've been playin engie lately and it's hard to get snipers with a shotgun (and I need more than one shot with a pistol). Easier to just expose myself, line it up and call for that cartillery.

why not just call for cartillery or artillery to negate the sniper instead of relying on....um.......whats that word?.......oh ya....teamwork.

agreed, but im sure it will keep on happening. i was on a team that had 3 less than the other side night before last and the commander kept dropping vehicles on the carrier, busting planes and choppers. although, i did see a cobra take off with a vodnik on top of it and it did not blow up. wish i had a screenshot of the cobra flying away with a van parked on top of it!

my own commander dropped a vodnik on me on sharqi last evening while i was about to jump over a guard rail. i'm sure his intentions were in the right place. that was the round last night where it felt as if all the odds were against me. i couldnt move without gettting hit by arty, others' bullets, or falling vehicles.

It's great being able to get a ride no matter where you are or howmany tards have sped off in vehicles alone.

One of my squads was a Jihad jeepist. Instead of spawning at a back flag he spawned in the next closest flag and asked for a vehicle drop every minute from the Square in Strike at Karkand. Kinda annoying, but enemy armor never got past Hotel that round.

He also said he earned his Verteran Explosives and Verteran Transport Badges that round because he was able to get a vehicle everytime from the Square instead of having to get one from other back flags.
