i was alone when i jumped in the chopper...when i was on midair a teammate joined me. how did he do that??

He must be a squad member of yours and he respawned on you whilst you were in the chopper.

...If you're a squad leader, your fellow squadmates can spawn on you, even in a vehicle if there is space.

Maybe his teammate was squadleader and he left so that he became SL and after that he joined the heli but all of the above is impossible after 1.3..

Was it before patch 1.3?

It happens to me many times. Flying alone from the career then trying to switch BAM>> Wtf..? and i'm not alone..
