I put that in my All Seeing Eye server filter, and don't see any servers running 1.3. Is that right? I see plenty of non-1.3 servers, but no 1.3's.

          Re: game version.

EA changed the server query protocol in 1.3 and there is no way (yet) to make ASE work with 1.3.
there is a sticky thread on it here
qtracker is the only alternative browser working at this time.

              Re: game version.

Has EA or Dice given an explaination for why the version reported ingame is different from the version they give for the patch?

              weird...

                Re: game version.

I read in another thread that there are two different version numbers that refer to different things. One doesn't change from patch to patch (the 'game' version? engine version?), the other does (the patch number).

                    Re: game version.

The patch version is incremental to keep it straight for us. So you have batch 1.03, 1.1, 1.12, 1.2, 1.21, 1.22, 1.3.

The ingame version are build numbers. There are several builds for each patch (I think there was 10 builds released during the 1.3 version beta testing), programmers use build numbers instead of the actual patch numbers.

I have seen some use alpha-numeric for the patch and builds, but that also gets confusing. For example, if there were 10 builds to ver 1.3, alpha-numerically, it would look like "ver 1.3j" ("j" meaning the 10th build as in a=1, b=2, etc). If this included alpha and beta testing, they could end up with a 1.3z or a 1.3za.

So, for now, here are the version and build numbers as released:

                    Version 1.3 = build 1.1.2878-710.0

                    Version 1.22 = build 1.1.2720-552.0

                    Version 1.21 = build 1.1.2716-548.0

                    Version 1.2 = build 1.1.2696-528.0

                    Version 1.12 = build 1.1.2554-356.0

                    Version 1.1 = build 1.1.2552-344.0

                    Version 1.03 = build 1.1.2551.0

                    Version 1.02 = build 1.12484.0

                    Version 1.00 = build 1.0.2442.0
