I've never complained about this game before, apart from bitchin about how jets were taking the fun out of the game due to their invulnerability (thanks Dice for fixing that one). However, I can now officially take BF2 off of my hard drive and enjoy the summer because this latest patch has really ****ed me off to the point where I'm no longer going to play it. I can't see who's playing on the server, or any server information whatsoever now. How come they screw things up when they were working ok? I don't get it. I would expect patches to gradually improve things, not gradually make them worse. Thanks BF2 for providing me with about 250 hours of enjoyment - now it's off to bigger and better things (and no, this is one guy who won't be buying BF 2142 or whatever it's called).

We don't need to hear that youre leaving. plenty of other people are just fine with the game, so its not all that suprising that hundreds of thousands of people don't share the viewpoint of one person. <moan>I dont have any problem with him sayin he's leaving, if anything it should be a message for EA/DICE, v1.00 of bf2 has got fewer bugs and if anything is more playable than it is now. They've gradually included more stuff and nerfed things to the point that its just not fun anymore - I havnt downloaded the new patch yet but i reckon the vehicle drop will be crap, i mean what can you do thats so great with a hummer anyway?!?!?! Its just a way of doing the supply drop kill with something a tad larger. </moan> :pComment

You guys are missing the point. Even though I'm ****ed off at the way the patch has messed up the server aspect of the game for me, I'm actually glad to be leaving and am expressing gratitude and thanks in a backhanded sort of way that instead of spending free time playing BF2, I'll actually be doing other things (productive and non-productive). I'm glad I have a reason for quitting because it was taking up too much time. Everything being equal, I'd rather keep playing it, but because it is screwed up now, I'm taking a positive approach and am publicly thanking Dice for giving me my life back - no more and no less.Comment
