I'm sure EA ment well when adding this... but man, they must have been high at the time.

if i want to fly i simply spawn as anti tank and shoot the vehicles before they hit the runway for the block.

sniping flying vehicles, yes the "drops" gives the game some extra dimension.

I haven't played much of 1.3 but how does dropping a vehicle destroy the enemy commander's assets?

Maybe do a "Roadblock" and secretly put C4s behind and blow them up when a vehicle comes by or but AT Mines near the vehicles' wheels

I saw yesterday a tank got blown up by a drop-vodnik.

If a tank or APC is already damaged a vehicle drop can kill it. I've also used drops to:

1.Kill snipers on cranes who are protected by claymores.
2. Kill a humvee that had snuck around to one of the back flags on Karkand. There were no friendlies nearby and I'd just used my arty, but a Voidnik on the head does the job nicely.
3. Kill the AH-1 on the Sharqi roof, along with a couple of snipers
4. Block the bridge on Karkand. It only gives you a few seconds but it helped give my team some breathing space at the Rail crossing.
5. Placed a Voidnik on the roof of a building on Mashtuur, giving my troops a heavy MG with a great field of fire.
6. Dropped a car to destroy a row of enemy mines a friendly APC was heading towards.
7. Occasionally give troops a vehicle when they request it :)

I like your priorities...#7...LOL.


How about:

1. Block infantry in narrow corridors, and kill one or two that are too close when the thing explodes.
2. Place near or behind enemy armor so they can move forward/backward at the corner of a building - this way they have to blow it up or can't totally move out of the line of fire of friendlies.
3. Place them on flags covered by a friendly sniper...its funny you give them a vehicle and they get into the turret so a friendly sniper can easily kill him instead of them staying behind a solid wall.
4. Help yourself get your Transport badge requirement without using an existing vehicle at one of the flags (lowers available drops by 1, but I think you can have 4 or 5???)
5. Drop on top of enemy jeeps, they always destroy them.
6. Drop on a supply crate that a convoy or enemy armor is using to repair.
7. Drop on a supply crate that you used to repair your assets and the spec ops can't use to rearm himself to blow it again :-)

ROFL Command would actually be fun now. You would be able to block that Karkand Bridge like crazy. Keep a dozen vans whereby a tank can't even get through. This idea is amazing, lame snipers who hang around on cranes can now be crushed MUHAHAHAHA!
