I can't even log in. A message keeps coming up telling me "Could Not Resolve Connection Manager Host Name". This has happened each time I try to log in after I installed the 1.3 patch. Any ideas?

P.S.Already deleted the servers

I reinstalled and when I retrieved my account info it took about two seconds to log in. I changed my graphics settings and controls and now its back to the way it was before I reinstalled. I hate this thing!!!

Every patch the "Connecting to Account Server" has got increasingly longer for me. My clanmates agree that on 1.3 it takes like 3-5 minutes to connect to account server now. I don't know what it is, but my friends computer which is on a new install of BF2 with the 1.3 patch logs in almost instantly... and mine takes no joke 3 or more minutes. Anyone know how to fix this? I tried opening ports on my router and everything (even though my friends computer is on my router and it has no ports open..) and it didn't work. Any help would be appriciated.

I too had this problem all last night! I used the full 1.3 patch.
The first time I went to connect I got a black screen with a spinning BF2 "2" icon for the mouse, and it hung for 15 min. I then did a hard reboot!

2nd time I got the graphics background and text box "Connecting to Account Server" again it hung for 10min....got inpatient.....hard reboot.

I deleted the whole BF2 folder in My Documents folder.

3rd try....Took 5 min and 50 seconds to get in but it worked.

4th try....Took 6 min 20 seconds to get in

5th try....Took 6min on the nose

This is still seems like an aweful long time to wait.....especially after getting rid of all the 5sec delays for "unpatched" servers.

Will see what tonight brings when I get home from work.

Removing the Red servers from the Favorites list dropped my Connecting To Account Server time from 90 seconds to 10 seconds.

I think the servers you play on are automatically added to the Favorites list. Why???

Also, the list doesn't scroll correctly. After deleteing red servers, more showed up.

It needs to be sortable too!!
