i did play bf2 alot a couple of months ago and have around 60 000 points and was very keen on the game but then my new employment and sport reduced the time a played on it... i went to play on it for the first time in a month yesterday and it loaded up fine but when i clicked on my account to log in it didnt log in it just had the message connecting to account server and stayed like that for about 30 mins... so i done the ctrl Alt delete and it said bf2 was not responding i tried to log in after restatring the comp agen and agen but it kept crashing.... is their a patch i can dwnload to stop this or has any one advise to what i should do?

the newest patch is 1.3 realesed yesterday try downloading that it's avalible from lots of places ie EA, fileshack, fileplanet etc -

First of all welcome back to the BF2 community.
Some things to try:
Go to www.bf2s.com and type in your BF2 name or id number to see if they pull up your stats. If it gives you an option get the stats from EA. If you come up then you are okay in the EA Database, and it is a software issue.
Next you problably do not have any of the latest game patches if you have not played in a couple of months. So go to the EA website and down load the missing patches. I would install them in order. 1.21, 1.22, 1.3
Also Punkbuster can be nasty at times and not let you in, and you could have an older version, so you can try and update your Punkbuster software too.
