New and learning, Need help please :)

Right, im new to modding thing, i want to make some infantry maps. Im just getting my head round the editor at the moment but i come across something already that the tuturial is way off.

When putting a control point down, it says it will come up with the text already, just rename it to what you want. When i do this i get a menu up which as in it

(#Players)_(Team)_CP_(Basename)

It says i can rename it so i put (#Players)_(Team)_CP_(US_MAIN) but nothing seems to work when i press OK and theres no explanation in the tuturial. It comes up with the message

The String Contains Illegal Characters

What do i need to put here exactly,

Have you tried it without the _ in Us_main? Could that be your illegal character?

Yes, i did that.

Doesnt really matter now. Think we've decided to give up on BF2 completly. THe extent of the 1.3 patch's distruction is unreal lol

We'll be moving to QW and OFP:AA cause were not willing to support EA/DICE in any shape or form after the increasigly nausious bugs of BF2 patches.
