1.3 changed the armor medal req to 100h, but I haven't got, despite having over 100h.

You need to get 25 kills in a round as well. I got mine last night (ironically I hit 10,000 armour kills at the same time).

But they haven't changed the req for the Expert Armor Badge...I think they forgot it...as it seems to be the only one not mentioned anywhere.

Yep, you need 400 hours. Never going to happen for me and I use armour a lot.

I was thinking that but then i thought if Armoured Fury is going to be more of a tank fest than EF is then it would be fairly easy to get. Perhaps a con to get you to play the boosters since that much time on the vanilla maps in armour is difficult due to the sparse number of vehicles.

sneaky thinking there...quite possible.

We just need someone with 100+ Armor hours(me :) to try it out and report back...

Got two of these in one game, having 3 in total now ... Especially EF is all about the armour. Guess that's why they didn't change the armor-badge req. :cry:

I think AF will have more armor than any other map in BF2

I just got the Armor Medal...

I have just over 102 hours in Armor, played SF and got it at kill #37. Now then, I don't remeber if I got a few 2-4 kills outside the tank in between spawns...but there is no way I killed 12-13 outside of the armor I used, no chance at all.

So why did it take 37 kills? My best guess is that a few of my kills from within the armor may have been people jumping out at the last second. The kind of kills where it says the name of the vehicle the target was driving, rather than my name T72/M1A.

So I can confirm they DID lower the time requirement to 100 hours just like the Helo and Plane Medals, but cannot confirm the amount of kills needed. But it seems fair to say it is at least 24 or 25, possibly 30 or 35.

I can ... 25 kills is all it takes ...

Every kill you make (every kill you get points for) sitting in armor counts as an armor-kill, even arty ! So guess again ...

Wait, so are we saying now that the armour medal needs 100 hours, but the expert armour badge needs 400 hours?? What kind of sense does that make?!?

I see vet armour badge still says 100 hours on bf2player... Are these right? Surely the armour medal should be far harder than the veteran badge...? IMO it should be (in order of difficulty): basic, vet, expert badge, then the medal as the hardest of all...
