anyone checked that? i found that someone servers running on linux have only 5-10 secs delay during "cheking server data" phase...
have this any sense? or i had dreamed it?

1. set sv.pure 1 in serversettings.con
2. unix2dos .../bf2/mods/<mod>/*.con
or
perl -i -npe "s/n/rn/g" file.con
3. copy these 2 files from a win32-server (for all mods you want to run!!!!), all file names has to be in lowercase!

Per default installation it´s not possible to run a linux server with the md5 checks, GG DICE

These two files need to be manually put in the linux server, you can get them from a windows install of the game.
Seeing as they are not on the default Nix install, you don't get the content checking thing. It's nice, but it opens the door for manual manipulation of game files to cheat online.
