"Cannot resolve connection manager host name"?

All of this started happening after the patch.

I had to reinstall BF2 because of issues caused by slightly modified content after installing the patch. Now it starts, but after an excedingly long black screen pause. Any help with this is appreciated, but I'm getting to my real issue here. The problem I'm having now is that, every time I try to log in, it brings up the "Connecting to account server" message, but after a little while of trying it says "Cannot resolve connection manager host name." What's wrong and how do I fix it?
(Note, this shouldn't be a specs problem, so I won't post them unless needed.)

dont really kno...ive heard some stories about account server breaking up so i guess all u have to do is wait

Ok, please? I've only gotten one person to help, and it wasn't even the right answer. Now I'm just getting p***ed.

I am sorry for bumping my own thread, really I am, but I CANNOT play this game without solving this problem, and I would really enjoy playing this game. So IF ANYONE CAN HELP, please DO SO.
