Stalemate is a WWI modification for the Battlefield 2 engine. Stalemate will be different from any other WWI modification because the main focus of it will be realism. Stalemate will emphasize team-play more than BF2 and will ultimately require you to use your head and think before you "run and gun" which the battlefield series is known for. The goal of Stalemate is to make a WWI team based fps that will be as realistic and authentic as the BF2 engine will allow. This will include full blood/gore and a large number of death animations that are realistic for example if a person is shot by a high velocity machine gun there body will be jolted of their feet and flung backwards or forwards depending on where hit from. The battlefields will range from all different types of enviroments from war torn cities, forests, trenchs, open fields/countrysides, to assaults on fortifications.
To sum it all up here are the main features of Stalemate1914 WWI Modification for BF2:
1.Realistic death animations and full realism/blood/gore
2.Realistic eviroment/weapon/player physics
3.Driveable vehicles such as tanks, jeeps, and transport trucks.
4.Diverse map enviroments from war torn cities, forests, trenchs, open fields/countrysides, to assaults on fortifications.
5.7 player classes per team- assualt infantry, support infantry, field scout, medic, engineer, light machine gunner(portable), heavy machine gunner(stationary).
And much much more!
Right now i'm looking for texture artists and 3d modellers and also maybe someone that can help out with python coding and analyzing the engine. Even if you can only contribute a few models/textures i'd be very grateful.
If you arent really a full-time 3d modeller but could do it or learn how to model you can use the free Gmax 3d modelling software to create models.
