I mean cmon, vehicles on a carrier, dropping vehicles was a stupid idea anyways, it seems like everyone is just talking about that, noone is playing, it will go away but blahhh, doesnt feel right:cry:
hopefully AF will be good
did anyone else get disapointed, I like the chopper thingy tho,how it goes down, maybe we can do sky diving with a chopper now:laugh:
Kills with vehicles being dropped on enemy infantry is the stupidest thing ever. And this whole thing with lowering the requirements for the awards so every noob can have all the awards is just ridiculous. Time to quit playing BF2 for me.
I hate the award requirements in some way cause I almost had the Expert knife :|.. Now everyone can see I got it at 23 May 2006.. Which is the release of the patch but that doesn't matter the game isn't about awards and stats though it's fun... I like the vehicle dropping commanders just ruin it.. And if they do just vote them (Not that you will ever succeed but you can try..)
well you "can" solo chopper still except there are major draw backs that make it next to impossible. First it drops like a rock after a couple seconds, but more importantly it now shows up as a valid target if theres just a gunner, funny thing is while my friend was testing this, when he was in the gunner seat he couldn't hear the target lock, so if your soloing now, missles could be comming at you and you have no idea. Solo choppering was already a bad idea before, well against a good two person chopper, now mobile AA will eat any solo choppers in a second, and even planes and stingers have a chance.
Nar, Being good at solo choppering you dont even get close to aa's without taking them out. AA's go 300-350, missle goes 450, NOOB soloer's will die, i wont

thats called being good with a chopper period. but the point is, that now again a soloer HAS to make that first shot, or it's all over, and I'm sorry, as a decent AAer, and a above average chopper gunner, it's not all about the first shot, especially when your dealing with a decent AAer. Now you actually CAN go down with AA, as before you were immune to it, much like planes pre-1.2, So while you might get the jump on some AA, now AA will be getting the jump on you too, so get ready to taste missle. Plus how you gonna deal with the planes that can target you?
plus now that you drop like a rock, every 50. cal will be gunning for you when you reocver from your drop 2 inches off the ground, you might even get C4 or naded if you do it in the middle of some infantry.
Most plane pilots go around with afterburner on all the time and dont relise how easy you can take down a chopper lol. Alot of them dont relise how devastating the gun is on jets either and missles seem to go through the cobra 80% of the time anyway lol
But yes, AA's have a better chance of getting the jump. But i wont be playing it much if at all anymore anyway, Game stinks. Operation Flashpoint Armed Assualt better not take much longer man, Been waiting SSSSooooooooo long now
...Snipers should already be used to the idea of looking up since supply crates, choppers, artillery, and bombs all come from a generally "Up" kinda position.
Well, know that the main purpose of a sniper is to be watching what is going on up in the air and not actually shooting anything on the ground, they were given the rifle just for self defense
