1.3 is OUT right now, and downloadable from the EA official page.

I installed the incremental on top of my old version, and now the GAME CRASHES AT STARTUP, not making it so far as the menu screen.

Those EA gas huffers have patched my game so it doesn't boot.

And, they've LOCKED their official forums, leaving no "SERIOUS PATCH BUGS" forum as an alternate, so people like me, who have had their game turned utterly inoperable have a way to get help.

DO NOT DOWNLOAD THE PATCH.

Ya need ta chill a little... EA always locks their forums during a release because in the past the shear volume of hits tends to make things fall down 'n go boom. (I read recently that the EA UK forums start having problems with as few as 80 people on 'em... we've been +200 here all day).

Check the support section. There's several reports of your same issues along with resolutions to 'em.

yea, it was the same thing when those idiots made 1.2, it took those monkeys a whial to figure out that the people with ATI cards are ****ed off

I hope it's soon. The patch is giving me a few issues with fequent disconnects.

With testing, I say two weeks. then another two weeks for a more complete patch.

I didnt see the option for "The patch works perfect for me so there is no need for 1.31"

I think any other company could patch the game in a week, but it will take a month at least for BF2 and it will introduce even more bugs which will require another patch which will take another month or more.

AT day 1 of release i said 3 weeks, and ill stick to that :P

I said Within Three Weeks because I don't want to be so optimistic as for them to release within days or even two weeks, but I would say within a few days, they will realize that people are leaving BF2 in droves and they will try to patch up the patch of the patch of the patch...

Patching takes longer than most people think (at least for a big game like this) So maybe 3 weeks if they have started it now.

BTW I don't think 1.3 is a bad patch, it's made the game a little bit funner.
