While I realise this is going to cop some flack from those forum members who tell people to stop whining (who co-incidentally have probably never had the issues with this game as I have), I'm going to pass my 2 cents on the next BF game.
Every patch has bought with it yet more issues, evident by many members of the forum and my own personal experience. This leads me to believe that not only was the original engine a poorly coded pile of canine faeces, but also that any attempts to improve on the code open up further issues. Either that or the testers at DICE are on some sort of mind altering medication.
Therefore, one can only assume the BF2142, being built from the same code as BF2, will have just as many issues, if not more given the added features. And I'm so not interested in going there again. Proof is in the pudding, but my money's on it being the same sort of issue riddled experience BF2 is.
