Missing shader?

I just installed 1.3, now I can't run SF, it says I am missing a shader, namely lighting.fx, vBF2 works just fine

I installed the full patch, and am not having that problem, I assume you are using the incrimental?

Even at that, I used the incremental and have no problems with Special Forces.

Do a complete re-install.

Ya did that, I just figured what the problem was, the patch I downloaded first was only 62 megs, strange that BF2 worked just fine.

lighting shader error?

ok so i go to boot up special forces (just dloaded it off of ea dloader) and it said some lighthing shader file is missing.. what should i do?

First off, clear out your cashe.
Second, did you use the full or incremental patch?

also if that doesnt work should i just downgrade back to 1.22

Cache folder is located here:



C:\Documents and Settings\<Username>\My Documents\Battlefield 2\mods\bf2\cache

Just delete cache folder..

I'm having the same problem. I just bought the expansion. I deleted the hold folder, it still does the same thing.

it happened to me, i used incremental and it was 80 megs

I have the same problem, and I used the incremental also.
