more ram?

i currently have 2 gigs of ram and it seems thats what everyone recomends. i was wondering if anyone has try 3 or even 4 gigs of ram and what effect this had on gameplay/loading times

Anything more than 2GB is useless at this point and will just go unused.

agree..you PC takes a while just to use up 2 gigs.

This depends on the OS and CPU and MB mainly. Some CPU's can only address up to 2Gb properly. Two things might happen, the first being no change and the second a decrease in overall performance.

I recommend you look up your MB, CPU, OS etc. and see exactly what they can handle. Truthfully more then 2 gb is overkill, untile Vista comes anyway. Vista is suppost to be able to handle high amounts of system ram.

If I recall correctly the most ram BF2 use is around 1.7gigs I think. So anything more then 2 gigs will just sit their unused, and possibly dragging performance down.
