How do you unlock the L96A1?

I just hit lance corporal or whenever you get your first unlock. I want to get the L96A1, but it only gives me the option of unlocking the M95. Do I need to get the M95 before I can get the L96A1? (I'm playing on vanilla, do I need SP?)

do u have the m95 yet and do u have SF?

You need some playtime on SF (ex. pack)
Then you unlock the M95 then the 196

actually u have to have the m95 unlocked and the la961 was introduced with a patch not SF. the la961 is from EF

actually when SF came out it gave and extra weapon to all the kits except sniper and anti tank. right before they came out with Ef they inroduced the p90 for the anti tank kits and the la961 for the sniper kit. actually some people got 2 free unlocks when they did this

better. enough said




but it is better. the crosshairs r thinner, so easier to see targets at a range and get a bead on em'. i think it does better damage, 2 shots anywhere=kill one shot anywhere(besides head)=2 bars of health
plus it has that 'super-sexy' sound

lol i dont know i dont have it unlocked i unlocked both support weapons instead. i only lack the p90 and the la961. if u get Ef u will be able to try it out as it is the default European army sniper kit

All snipers rifles can kill in one shot to the head! You get the M95 first then the L96A1, i got both in one level advance. And they both do EXACTLY the same amount of damage on a human! Here are the benefits of each:

the M95: can shoot through plane/heli glass and can destroy exploding barrels in 1 shot(the L96A1 connot do either).

the L96A1: is the MOST accurate sniper rifle in the game and is also one of the quietest.
