Post your load times please

Well I posted a thread the other day about my inconsistent loading times that nobody could help with so I'm back. This time I'm asking people with settings all maxed, to time how long it takes them to load into game or even just give me a guess. Typically with my setup below it takes 2-3 minutes. I remember it once taking only 30 seconds or so and I was always the first person in game, but not anymore. Thanks.

When I first start the game, I'd gues it takes me 30-45 secs. If I load a new map it can take as little as 15 secs.

20 seconds on linux servers, 1-2 minutes on windows servers

1 to 2 minutes, if it is a custom mod 30 seconds, because it skips all the verifying sh*t.

if dont have much on you HDD the verifying is a lot faster.

3 min for me, most of it is verifying client data.

but i run 64 bit windows so things are funky for me.

Mine is inconsistent too.

Open the game and load the first map, takes a minute or two...

Change servers or the server changes maps, and the new map takes less than a minute to load (15-45 sec)

Verifying takes a long time tho, a minute or two usually.

About 1min 30secs if I just opened the game and join a server. After that it's about 30-45secs between maps (usually finishes before all the high scores of the round are finished)

Guys, I found something very useful, play on servers WITHOUT battlerecorder, OR linux servers (tux or 64 icon). I'm not sure which, but either of these makes verifying client data go away.

The Linux servers are the best. I wish they make BF2 for Linux so we can skip all the M$ ****e.

I load 30 seconds or less for verifying and not even 30 seconds for the map. Call it 1 minute or so. A fat pipe connection helps big time.

35 seconds to load map.

40 seconds to verify on Windows / 0 seconds to verify on LInux/64bit servers.

Help map times by making sure that HD isn't in PAO mode and defrag.
