water and roads

anybody know how to create water or roads (yes i'll admit a am a noob at this)i have a map with a carrier but it is on sand!!

For water just copy the water.con from wake or oman, then just lower the terrain of the parts you want to have water on. as for roads read the EA tutorials

And click on your level name tab in the tweaker bar and mess with the water height, its default setting is -10000
