Re: i have lock on him??? say what!!!
Only the bomber hear the lock-on tone, yes. BUT:
once you get a lock-on, this voice (Bill Clinton
) says: "I'm locked on him" or something like this, and it also appears in the chat. So if the pilot keeps his ears open, he can easily find out when ur locked onto someone.

However only the co-pilot can see it or hear it.Comment

That was stupid on EAs part. The pilot needs to know that stuff.Comment

Re: i have lock on him??? say what!!!
I was on a server with a good pilot last night. I'll admit that I'm no good at flying but he had a vacant bombers seat, so I thought I'd give it a try.
No matter how many locks I had, when I fired the missiles, they just streaked straight ahead, not a single one went near its target.Comment

Re: i have lock on him??? say what!!!
as previously posted you dont necessarily need a lock just fire where the nose is pointed as for the post above about locks but missile just streaking past it happens usually if the pilot lifts out of a dive/bombing run too early (for you)Comment

Even with a lock, generally one still needs to guide the rocket. Unlike with the chopper, though, no frantic mouse clicking is required; one just needs to keep the target in the crosshairs, i.e., in the center of the screen.Originally posted by Jade FalconNo matter how many locks I had, when I fired the missiles, they just streaked straight ahead, not a single one went near its target.Comment
